Think You Know IBM Z? Take Another Look.
After more than 30 years around IBM Z, I still find there are things about the platform that surprise people.
IBM Z has been a significant thread throughout my career, from development, support and consulting through product management, technical leadership and ultimately broader business leadership.
During that time, enterprise technology has changed enormously.
But one lesson has stayed with me:
Longevity and innovation are not opposites.
Some of the world’s largest organizations continue to depend on IBM Z and LinuxONE for critical workloads and data.
At the same time, these platforms are increasingly part of conversations around AI, APIs, automation, DevOps, open source and hybrid cloud.
For people who haven’t looked closely at IBM Z and LinuxONE recently, there may be considerably more to discover than they expect.
